made in 1913 (quoted variously, inter al. by Rose D. Marsh,
columnist for a Marion newspaper [n.d.]: “Caleb S. Boots died in
1884 — his first wife Nancy Boots died prior to that time. His
second wife, Eliza, died in 1905. His wives (deceased) left
heirs: Charles Boots lives in Muncie, and his wife Catherine
Boots, also a daughter, Jennie Boots, lives in Muncie, Indiana”;

(housekeeper) h 159 Kilgore av; 1920 Delaware Co., IN census at
Muncie [E.D. 26; Sh. 17; line 8]: as ‘Jennie J. Boots’, age 63,
born in Indiana; resident (housekeeper) at 159 So. Kilgore Ave.,
Muncie — though a ‘Mary M.’ Boots, aged 2 in 1860, born in
Indiana, is with her parents at Fulton Co., IN — and this
daughter is not, by the name ‘Jennie” or another similar — it
may be these two are the same person
