Frozen to Death” gives account of Nelson Boots — described only
as “Boots” — freezing to death after a day of heavy drinking and

Bremer Co., IA marriage record for ‘Rhoda Sailor = Nelson Boots,
18 Oct 1866’; C. S. Boots, p. 561 “Boots Family”: mother = Nancy
