“Descendants of Adam Boots” [1966] by C. S. Boots p. 500:
speculates this Bertha may in fact be Nancy Allegra’s daughter
by a first marriage, and that his informant had identified this
wife as having the maiden name ‘Nancy Tomlinson’ and with a
slightly different marriage date, ‘ 7 Apr 1868’; sister, Mary
Alice Boots Hopping’s obituary (Xenis, OH newspaper [Fri.,
26-V-1954]): age 76, home on Hopping Rd, 5 miles east f Xenia,
died Wednesday [24 May 1954]; born near Fairview, IN 15 Jul
1877; Presbyterian; survivors: 2 sisters, Miss Lucille Boots of
Columbus [OH] & Mrs Bertha Wilt of Columbia, SC; a
sister-in-law, Mrs Bessie Paul, Dayton [OH] & a numbers of
nieces & nephews; husband died in 1945’

Bertha married Wilt [3811] [MRIN: 1523] on an unknown date.
