In 1819, Lewis Jr and Margaret came to Wayne County, IN and farmed there for several years and then moved to Grant County, IN. It is said that Lewis Jr then married Orpha Reeves in 1840 but there is no family evidence of that.
Lewis married Margaret McClaren [25419] [MRIN: 8743], daughter of Duncan McLaurin [25421] and Catherine [25420]. (Margaret McClaren [25419] was born on 22 Oct 1786 in Glasgow, , Lanark, Scotland and died on 14 Oct 1835 in , Grant, Indiana, USA.)
