[2005]: ‘Martha Caylor was the daughter of Samuel Caylor and
Elizabeth Boots. Martha Caylor was born in March 1844 in
Randolph Co, Indiana. She married Henry Harrison McVey on 21 May
1874 in Randolph Co, Indiana. Martha Caylor died in July 1918 in
Randolph Co, Indiana, at age 74. She was buried in Hillcrest
Cemetery, Richland Township, Jay Co, Indiana.
     She appeared on the 1880 federal census of Randolph Co,
Indiana, in the household of Henry Harrison McVey; Household:
Henry McVey (33), Martha (wig - 36), James O (son - 2), and Lewa
A (son - 2/12), residing in Green Township where he was a
farmer. Martha Caylor appeared on the 1900 federal census of
Randolph Co, Indiana, in the household of Henry Harrison McVey;
four of her five children were alive in 1900; Household: Henry
McVey (52), Martha (wif - 56), James O (son - 22), Lewis A (son
-20), Charles W (son - 16), and Edna M (dau - 15), residing in
Green Township where he was a farmer. Martha Caylor appeared on
the 1910 federal census of Randolph Co, Indiana, in the
household of Henry Harrison McVey; Household: Henry McVey (62),
Martha (wif - 66), James O (son - 32), Lewis A (son - 30),
Charles W (son - 26), and Edna M (dau - 25), residing in Green
Township.

obituary ([Winchester, IN local newspaper] 25 Jul 1918): ‘Mrs
Martha (Caylor) McVey, 74 years old, died at her home 8 miles
north of Farmland Sunday evening after a long ilness. She is
survived by one daughter and three sons. Funeral services were
conducted at her home Wednesday morning by Rev Thomas of Albany.
Burial in Redkey cemetery.’
