Louisa M., while Sarah Jane D.’s place not known from the
census, despite this source assigned her the role of mother of
Jas. Riley and Minnie Garringer; "Jacki McDermott"

record I have is different. It says 1873. The records I have are
as follows: Issac Garringer and Mrs. Alatha Davis, 7 January
1872 by Samual Bunker, Minister of the Gospel, Putnam County
Marriage Records book 2, page 41; and Isaac Garringer and Mary
C. Carter, 6 March 1873 by James C. Hinton, Minister of the
Gospel (the page and book is missing from this entry, an error
by the researcher, Joyce Casady of the Putnum County Library,
1981). I will send all of the citations for all of the marriages
of Alexander Garringer and Elizabeth Boots' children in a
separate email as it is long. In the 1880 Census for Liberty
Township Putnam County, Isaac age 55, Ohio, Ohio, Ohio and Mary
C. age 39, same, and Joseph, age 23, Lane age 15, and Minny 1,
and James R. age 6, all born Missouri were all living together
in house #126 …’; Barbara Carpenter’s comments & corrections on
Alexander Garringer Report by L. Ellingham [2001]: ‘born 11 Jan
