bullet  General Notes:

“Saint Clair Co., MO History” [1995] p. 25: ‘Mary became the
mother of his 7 young children — they were the parent of 11
children [4 presumably by blood]; [husband] died 1890, buried at
Kidds Chapel Cemetery, Mary died ?, probably also buried there’;
Barbara Carpenter charts [>2001]: vital statistics (i.e., died
‘after Sep 1883’); Stephanie Knight
(Stephanie.Knight@mutualofomaha.com) to L. Ellingham
[28-X-2005]: ‘I haven't been able to verify Mary's burial spot,
we think that she is buried next to William, the cemetery plot
next to William is marked only with a large stone. The Kidd
Chapel cemetery is on land that was once owned by Mary's father
Absolom Boots. Sometime after William's death, Mary Boots Knight
moved in with her
daughter J Frances aka Fannie and her husband Alonzo Jennings.
It shows them in the 1900 census at Rich Hill, Bates CO, MO.
The last record for Mary Boots Knight is with Fannie and Alonzo
in the 1910 census for Pittsburg KS, showing Mary as 81 years
old. In the 1910/1911 city directory, Mary was living with them
at 509 E 5th St. We have been unable to find any death or burial
records for Mary.’
