                Leonard Ferdinand Archer- Grandfather
                Moses Melyn Archer- Gr Grandfather
                Joseph Archer- Gr GR Grandfather
William Archer& Barbara Boots-Gr GR Gr
Grandparents’
& ‘The statement that David was the father is the surmisment of
various researchers. My Gr Gr Gr Grandfather Joseph Archer's
obit states that he was born in Fayette County Ohio, 6-11-1817
that he was but 4 years of age when he moved with his parents to
Logan County Ohio. In the 1820 census of Logan Cty. there are
only two Archers listed as head of households, William & David.
It appears that David died in 1821 without a will but the
administration of his estate was not settled until 1854-1855
when the heirs ( William, son of David died and Williams
children Joseph, George Washington, William Eli, Thomas
and Melissa had an interest in the estate ) signed quit claim
deeds. The buyer, Jacob Smith had been making installments to
purchase the land and the owners turned over the land to him
with a Quit Claim. Source: Logan county Ohio Deeds, Book_ page
280 and 281. All land was in section 28 of Miami township. David
Archer was also listed as a voter in an 1818 election, so this
seems to suggest that David went to Logan county first and was
joined shortly thereafter by William.’ & Trace Archer
(tcarcher@bright.net) to L. Ellingham [2-V-2005]: ‘census
records of Logan county Ohio. Gr GR grandpa Joseph's obit states
that he was 3 or 4 when he came to Logan county with his
parents. Joseph was born in 1817. Here is the 1820 census: 2
