MARTIN BOOTS DIES AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS

Martin BOOTS, aged 75, grandson of Martin BOOTS, founder of Marion, died at his home, Twenty-sixth and Race streets, at ten o'clock yesterday morning. He had been ill but a short time with neuralgia, and the announcement of his death comes as a surprise and shock to his many friends in the county.

Mr. BOOTS is survived by his wife, Christiana, besides three sons, Guy W., Roy M. and Ray S. BOOTS. Two stepdaughters also survive besides a number of grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Grace M. E. church. Reverend David M. Wells will officiate. Burial will be made in the I. O. O. F. cemetery.
